Fashion shoulders have been keeping their wearers semi-warm all over the world — from Toronto to Paris, New York to Milan and so on. Have you spotted any fashion shoulders lately? Think of the preppy throw a Ralph Lauren sweater around your shoulders and loop the arms thing, but way more chic. “Oh my shoulders and biceps are chilly, but I’m not so sure my torso is feeling the same.” Get it?

To create this look simply place coat, jacket or cardigan over shoulders, using your body as a coat hanger. Fashion shoulders are best warn in mild weather, primarily the seasons of spring and fall when the weather can change direction in a matter of seconds. This trend has been spotted in a tough leather form, on men, as a coverall dress, and over another jacket of the jean sort. For the chicest look, choose a structured wool jacket or a trench with leather accents.
