Whip Your Hair: what your pony says about you.

Well I guess if this hilarious “Ponytail Theory” is at all the slightest bit correct then my pony angle proves that I am indeed retarded or below average…but I think we already knew that. OLD NEWS!
Case in point: My favourite Pineapple Hair

What does your ponytail angle say about you? Do share.

are you sheer?

I vow to never mention the Garden Collection again after this, but I think I figured out why this dress was only $19.95…no liner.
Sheer as a curtain!

cool link: the mobile diary
Check this out! themobilediary.com is this neat website where you can submit your mobile pictures and a brief caption for all to see. It’s a neat concept for those such as myself who are enthralled with taking pictures with their mobile device. I submitted one a few weeks ago but failed to realize that they did in fact post my submission. Click here to see it or look below for a sneak peak!

Trends from the hit TV series Roseanne

The “Boyfriend” shirt/jeans/tee/whatever. Worn here by Darlene, this look will make you seem like you just rolled out of bed and grabbed the first thing you could find: your boyfriend’s sweaty shirt from the day before. Yum.

Cher from Clueless and the Spice Girls are two other examples of 90′s pop culture icons who demonstrated the trend. Here Jackie is being over dramatic as per usual, but while wearing a snappy little button-up crop. Shown on the model to the right is the American Apparel version. For those more modest, layering is a must. The cropped top works best on those who have long torsos and a small chest.

Becky always wanted to break free of her “good girl” reputation and this rebellious haircut certainly helped. Like her Good Girl Gone Bad friend Rihanna, she opted for the buzzed undercut. Model Agyness Deyn is still rocking the short ‘d0.

If Blair Waldorf’s minions had known that she took fashion inspiration from Roseanne, would they still have been as scared of her?
Photos and inspiration here.

Traffic, Branding, Zara, Armani, Superfreakonomics, Blink, The Tipping Point, Outliers
Guess what! February is “I love to Read Month“. As a child, your class may have kept track of all the books you read, and then if you reached a certain amount there would be a pizza party at the end of the month to celebrate your literacy successes. If only this applied in university.
Recently I have gotten into books related to my education. No fiction for this girl. Currently, I have three books on the go:

Fashion Brands: Branding Style from Armani to Zara by Mark Tungate
Superfreakonomics by Steven D. Levitt
Traffic: Why we drive the way we do by Tom Vanderbilt (Admittedly this one is not related in any way to my current education, but traffic is interesting).
Other gems I suggest you pick up:

The Tipping Point/Outliers/Blink by Malcolm Gladwell

Why we Buy: The Science of Shopping/The Call of the Mall by Paco Underhill – after reading these you will never think the same way about shopping or shopping malls again.
If you’ve got any recommendations I’m all ears, I love a good read.

oh really?
From the same girl who brought you, “I’m an artist, I’m not going to use trigonometry”, comes another quotable moment.”My legs are really long and that’s cool apparently, but I’m totally klutzy. I mean, I’m like Bambi. I fall all over myself because I can’t control my arms and my really long legs.” – Sixteen-year-old Taylor Momsen in the February issue of Seventeen

Sorry Little J, no time to sympathize, still trying to get over the fact that you’re only sixteen.
