Club Monaco for Shopbop
Starting today Shopbop and Club Monaco tie the knot and consolidate true fashion love. With the help of fashion director, Kate Ciepluch, Shopbop will offer a Club capsule collection including 7 looks for fall.

So far, so good, i’m loving all the pieces especially the Iman Shirt. Maybe this is just the first push to get Club Monaco online with their own e-retailing option! Here’s hoping.

spring uniform
Last Monday it was 15 degrees in Toronto, and this illusion of summer was amazingggg! Here is my spring uniform, decided to test out these thigh-high socks I’ve had since two years ago.

harriet the spy

every good spy needs a gorgeous trench! structured, but oh so casual…and although Harriet may have had it a little wrong with her tent-sized yellow rain coat, we appreciate her effort. we think these trenches are much more appropriate for sneaking around town, whether you’re strolling in the rain, shopping on a spring day, or exploring the city with a venti americano in hand!
though we would love to have an original Burberry, our student (soon to be graduates) budget is limiting, so instead i think these alternatives are appropriate substitutes. i’m thinking the navy Club Monaco trench, although i may have to stick to the classic look and go beige.

keep this in mind when buying your trench: “a good spy never gets caught!”

you’re in the club
As working women, okay, interning women, Maddy and I are faced with the daily challenge of getting dressed for work. While her internship has a more relaxed dress code, mine is in full effect. The men are often wearing suits and many of the ladies sport four inch heels.
As graduation approaches I find myself looking for clothes that will take me from behind a desk and onto the dance floor. Before I purchase something I ask myself two questions: 1) Can I wear it to work? and 2) Can I wear it out at night? If the answer is yes to both, consider it bought.
One store that does a great job of mixing board rooms and cocktails is Club Monaco. The pieces range from simple to elaborate and there is always something to be found in the sale section. Also, in case you didn’t know, if you’re a student you get an additional 20% off your purchase. Now that’s smart retailing. Capturing customers when they are students by offering them a discount, in hopes that they will continue to shop there when they are making the big bucks? Genius.

Oh, and what do you know? Look what just arrived in my inbox. Spread the joy and pass it on!
