Styled: Coachella pt. 3

with one comment

As you’re reading this I’m likely sitting uncomfortably, next to a stranger, in window seat 7A, jetting across the country and soon to cross over to the land of Waffle Houses and In-N-Out Burgers, amongst other great American legends.

Day three of Coachella is all about my favourite lace shorts from Zara. I have this thing for lace that means whenever it’s present in the room I gravitate towards it, resulting in multiple lace skirts, and dresses. So sad, I know.

Styled: Easy Peasy

Often I wake up and want to just throw something on, I can’t be bothered to think that much at 7am. Sincerely Jules is a blogger I look to when seeking easy looks. Her California style is laid back, and she’ll often pair more casual pieces, i.e. Converse, with skirts and dresses, which very much so appeals to my style. I recently bought a pair of white high-top Converse, and from checking out Jules on the daily, I only want to add more Chucks to my shoe collection…including these Missoni x Converse ones!

While this look takes an opposite approach, pairing a comfortable and casual look with a pair of pumps, I’m all about how easy peasy her styling is. I think we would be great friends.

keds: the original sneaker?

with 2 comments

There’s nothing like a good ol’fashioned first-mover advantage, but when you wait 94 years to claim your “first”, people will probably be suspicious. I’m not here to debate the legitimacy of the claim, as I don’t work for Adidas or Converse or any other company that currently makes “sneakers”. What I am here to do is show you Keds super fun and interactive mircrosite, launched in celebration of 94 years of “originality” or…something. The microsite is set up in calendar form, and customers can browse by decade or date. Within each date or decade is tidbits of information related to the brand. If you’re into useless facts or need a good conversation starter for a party this weekend, check it out, TheOriginalSneaker.com.
