This is my dream everyday uniform. Leather + denim – switch up the shoes based on your occasion. I swear this outfit could take me anywhere. While I’d much prefer real leather pants, these Zara faux leather pants, fool almost everyone. And although it’s quite the task to sit in these things without contracting restless leg syndrome, I still think they were my best Paris purchase, and I know Gillian agrees as well.
P.S. how do you like that side part?
Sometimes twelve dollar pants are the ones that get you all the compliments. With a bold black and white print these H&M cropped pants are the perfect head turner and eye roller — at least I’m grabbing their attention, right? Every day it’s getting warmer and our layers are becoming less heavy. Blue skies ahead, please!
As you’re reading this I’m likely sitting uncomfortably, next to a stranger, in window seat 7A, jetting across the country and soon to cross over to the land of Waffle Houses and In-N-Out Burgers, amongst other great American legends.
Day three of Coachella is all about my favourite lace shorts from Zara. I have this thing for lace that means whenever it’s present in the room I gravitate towards it, resulting in multiple lace skirts, and dresses. So sad, I know.
Follow my Coachella & L.A. adventures on Instagram @mmmaddy – disclaimer: expect palm trees, beach selfies and food, AND the occasional celebrity.
This is something I’ve been thinking about for a long time. One of those “when I grow up” moments you just know will happen, and then when it finally does you just almost can’t believe it. Coachella is likely the most hyped music festival, and so you can understand how the anticipation of a year (yes, I purchased presale) has been slowly eating away at me.
One year means a lot of thought, especially for this girl who is notoriously in her head most of the time. One year also means being able to rethink that perfect festival outfit over and over.
While ticking things off my “Must Have for Coachella” list, a new bikini was at the top. Little did I know that while attending the H&M Conscious launch, I would stumble upon five amazing teensy bikinis that fit just right! Naturally, next up was a crop top. This ruffled look (by Loft at Bungalow – where I adopted Regina) is girly enough to keep my Levi’s in line.

Sometimes the sun can be deceiving, and yesterday was one of those days. I’m glad I could throw on this light waffle sweater, paired with bright shorts and my pop of colour flats, helping to keep summer hues alive despite the chill in the air.
Do you like how I squeezed myself into that first shot? Apparently, I’m too tall for my tripod, I need a photographer. Happy Friday!
Hopping on the coloured denim wagon, I recently added a pair of Zara pastel turquoise jeans to my wardrobe. I wish I had scooped up another pair, or two, because they are definitely a piece that is soon to be deemed a spring/summer go-to. Adding to my pastel blue collection I also picked up a perfect sleeveless blouse from H&M (which unfortunately is not online), this time I chose blue and black, to keep myself well-stocked.
Something about pastels is so easy, especially blue — pairing it with denim is just too simple. With many shades available in pastel hues, I’m loving the brighter Madewell lace bra below. China Glaze in Audrey fits perfectly with this colour wheel, and another great option is Zoya in Bevin, which has painted my tips all week long.
Often I say I feel like my outfit makes me feel like a boy. This is a prime example. Typically these boyish feelings are encouraged by very simple outfits, and this is too simple, it felt weird taking only two minutes to get dressed in the morning.

Spring is upon us, with 16+ daily highs, I certainly have no problem with trading in my wool coats for leather and canvas jackets. My goal this spring/summer season is to incorporate more brights into my closet, and ask myself ”do your 18 other grey shirts need another sibling?” This isn’t 19 Kids and Counting.

Last night we attended two Much Music Video pre-parties, including the opening of GUESS flagship store on Queen St. and the H&M Dragonette pre-party.
The GUESS & Flare Magazine event included a performance by Keshia Chanté, who celebrated her 23rd birthday yesterday, dj-ing by Broken Social Scene’s Brendan Canning and a photobooth!
After Keshia’s performance, and some delicious raspberry macarons, we went across the street to H&M for their MMVA pre-party featuring Dragonette. Not only did we love Fire in Your New Shoes, but now we’re putting Dragonette at the top of our playlist. After the performance we had the chance to sip some beers and shop, which may not be the best combination, but is always fun!
