my own personal mini(er) Rachel Zoe
Oh no! There may no longer be a need for killer stylist Rachel Zoe. Glamour’s newest Ask a Stylist iPhone App helps ladies shut it down EVERYDAY, not just on the red carpet. Sorry Rachel it’s time for you to move over, we’ve found a new stylist who isn’t so bananas and is less than half your size!

How does it work? Well it’s pretty simple, the App leads you step by step.
Step 1) Decide whether you want a stylist to help you decide between 2 outfits, or just give feedback on one. Step 2) Take a picture of the piece(s) of clothing. Step 3) Choose a stylist. Stylist profiles and customer reviews are provided. Step 4) Choose where you are wearing the outfit, to better help the stylist understand the context to which it should be styled. Step 5) Type and ask your question.
Now you wait! I must say, I sent in my request at 1:04 and received a message on my phone at 1:14, so I’m pretty impressed. The app seems to be very efficient and feedback can be very detail-oriented. Glamour magazine has hired 8 stylists to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This may be one of the first apps to actually talk-back to you, creating a real-time conversation. Watch this video about the Ask a Stylist app HERE.

I especially LOVE how my stylist, Samantha, told me to “work that gorgeous height!” Well thanks iPhone, your compliments are lovely, I like you too!

cool link: the mobile diary
Check this out! themobilediary.com is this neat website where you can submit your mobile pictures and a brief caption for all to see. It’s a neat concept for those such as myself who are enthralled with taking pictures with their mobile device. I submitted one a few weeks ago but failed to realize that they did in fact post my submission. Click here to see it or look below for a sneak peak!

Submit your own and post the link in the comments, we like mobile photography.

fashionable apps
I am a Mac (so is Maddy), and we covet all things Apple related. Our iPhones have become an extension of our bodies and our MacBooks never go a day without use. One of the coolest things about Apple’s products is the ease at which they can be customized. The iPhone is not an exclusive device, but the applications of the iPhone are individual to each owner. There really is an app for everything, and companies are trying their best to cash in on the iPhone craze.
Net-a-Porter.com
Net-a-Porter.com, the popular e-commerce website, has an app that allows users to view new products, or categories of products, put items in shopping bags or on wish-lists, and even buy products straight from their phone. For those that can afford a pair of $495 Chloe flats, and have the balls to purchase them from a mobile device, this app is for you!

Zara
The Zara app, much like their website, does not allow users to make purchases. Included are new arrivals for women, men, and kids. Products are updated weekly and the the app features photos from the current seasons lookbook.

Chanel
The Chanel app features the latest news, looks, and accessories. It even has a store locator, just in case you need to find a retail location ASAP. The icon on the desktop appears as the famous Chanel double C’s, which is enough to make any label-hungry iPhone user a fan.

Happy downloading!
