Lagerfeld x Coca-Cola Light
I’m not one to drink “diet”, “light”, or “zero” drinks, but this just might start my love affair with aspartame…

Karl Lagerfeld’s newest collaboration? Coca-Cola Light for France. The Chanel designer has created a unique aluminum bottle, displaying his own silhouette and a hot pink cap. Lagerfeld also photographed none other than Canadian model, Coco Rocha for the campaign that will launch April 28 in France. Somebody from France please FedEx us a case, because if Coco is drinking it, we should too!

Coke: 1, Pepsi: 0. Looks like Coca-Cola wins this round of the Pepsi-Coke challenge!

Lagerfeld Confidential
It’s to my delight that today when weaving through my Google Reader I found THIS Vice interview with Karl Lagerfeld. I’m sure I’ve already mentioned how much I adore Lagerfeld, and I actually think my first post ever featured a picture of him, but it seemed rather coincidental that this interview was released when just last night I was watching Lagerfeld Confidential (for about the 20th time) before going to bed.

This man never ceases to amaze me, from his gorgeous designs and amazingly innovative and whimsical shows, to the fact that he actually has been doing all the photography for Chanel since 1987. And here once again this self-portrait, which has been paired with the interview embodies his brilliance.

There is just something about the combination of his down-to-earth sophistication, bluntness and humour that gets me every time and keeps me inspired.

“I accepted the idea of celebrity because of a French expression: ‘You cannot have the butter and the money for the butter.’” -Lagerfeld

sketchy.

I’ve always been pretty amazed with fashion designer’s sketches. Most likely it’s because I can barely draw, and if I do attempt, it will most likely resemble the skill of a 3rd grader…I’ll stick to finger painting, and collages (especially Polyvore collages). It’s also pretty amazing that Karl does all his sketches with marker, sans-whiteout. Just watch Lagerfeld Confidential and anything you ever wondered about Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel will be answered.

soundtrack of 2009..
here are the top songs played on the runways around the world for this spring/summer 2009.. does this give foreshadowing of what our summer music memories will also bring?
1) Great DJ/The Ting Tings
2) Viva La Vida/Coldplay
3) Jungle Drum/Emiliana Torrini
4) Electric Feel/MGMT
5) Jager Yoga/CSS
6) L.E.S. Artistes/Santogold
7) La Vie En Rose/Grace Jones
8) O Superman/Booka Shade
9) You’ll Find A Way/Santogold
10) Light Years/Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve
now my question is which song represents which label…? this will obviously remain a mystery, but my guess is that Karl is a Ting Tings kind of guy…
