Music Monday: Call Me Maybe
Please do not judge my musical taste solely based on this post. For some reason this just tugs at my heart strings and brings happiness to my Monday, and then probably to my Tuesday, Wednesday and so on. It would appear that Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ashely Tisdale, and the actual singer of this pop song, Carly Rae Jepsen, who is in fact Canadian, got together, acted like real teens/20 year olds and danced around in some sweatpants and sunglasses to Carly’s Call Me Maybe.
Hope this makes your Monday as happy as mine is now!

music monday: Bon Iver – Calgary
Happy Manic (Music) Monday. Here’s a little somethin’ somethin’ to listen to while you relax this eve, perhaps sipping some tea (fantasy island of David’s Tea anyone?). While listening over & over to this wonderful new Bon Iver song named after our oily-city, Calgary, don’t forget to watch 90210, ok?
Bon Iver’s self titled album will be released June 21. Just enough time for you to listen to the entire album and learn every lyric for the August 8th show at Sound Academy.

Enjoy & download!

music monday: Rolling In The Deep (Villa remix)
This was posted on NOTED by GFB last week, but we can’t stop listening to it. AMAZING. Also how amazing is this Rolling Stone cover, I think the tousled hair makes it, since we’re used to her perfect updos…what a babe!

Today is a pretty busy Monday for us Canadians (yes….VOTE or die), so maybe this song will help you get through the day. Don’t forget to go to the polls, cause all the cool kids are doing it (i.e. US and everyone else who is cool).

music monday: The Show Goes On
Another week, another Monday, and another new beginning. This song just seems appropriate today.
No matter what happens everything must go on, and everyone just moves forward.
New opportunites, new people, new seasons (SUMMER) and new adventures.
HAPPY MONDAY! (let’s be friends on Hype Machine)

music monday: ellie goulding

Ellie Goulding is a little blonde girl from London, England who sings heavily produced indie pop tunes and dances with her hands in all of her videos (can’t really blame her, if I were told to sing into a camera and dance I wouldn’t know what to do with my hands either). Her songs are catchy and fun and her voice is really intriguing, even if it may be under the influence of auto tune. Below are videos for three of her singles, Guns and Horses, Starry Eyed, and Under the Sheets. Click for a cover of Robyn’s “Be Mine” as well as a Jakwob remix of Starry Eyed.
