Decoded by Jay-Z
Let’s be honest, it was only a matter of time before Jay-Z/Hova/Shawn Carter/Jigga wrote an autobiography. And, in true hip hop form, to promote Decoded, Jay planned the Rosé, Rolex and Rolls Royce of viral marketing campaigns. Jay-Z, Droga5, and Bing turned what could have been a typical campaign into an interactive art project and scavenger hunt by reproducing pages of the book in areas referred to in the book. For example, if Times Square was mentioned, the page in question would be plastered on billboards in the Square. Creative, no?
