..urban renewal
it has been announced that the old Metro Theatre in NY at 2626 Broadway will soon be transformed into perhaps a less melodramatic spot, but all the same creative in a new light. clothing store Urban Outfitters is said to begin construction in the 15,000 square-foot 3 1/2 storey building. the store will salvage the original theatre front in order to keep the spirit of this New York City landmark.obviously not all companies have suffered due to this modern-day recession and slumped holiday sales, as Urban has signed a 20-year lease starting at $1 million a year with a 12% increase every five years.i guess my love and likely yours for this store’s always current and fresh style, whether it be hipster or boho, is what allows the company to consistently grow no matter what is happening outside this urban empire.-M
p.s. i currently have my eye on a summertime onesie, i don’t know about you.
