The Zara Heel
I say ‘the’ because this suede Zara sandal is all over fashion bloggers and now I’ll also be able to dip my toes in this wondrous shoe piece — thus all over my feet. While I’m not quite sure if I can master its thin stiletto heel I can’t wait to wear them with more casual stylings. Be warned, while I’m 5’10, for some reason my mind believes I have sprouted no taller than 5’2, but I have no shame, short men don’t interest me.

Gucci x Mark Ronson
Frida Giannini teams up with musician and producer Mark Ronson this season to produce a new collection of trainers/sneakers! The Gucci x Mark Ronson line will consist of 17 exclusive styles, 15 for MEN and 2 for women, lucky boys.

When Ronson was first invited to the Gucci show last January, he was immediately drawn to the designs. The love between the two artists seems to be mutual, Giannini said the two were able to connect when working on the line. If Ronson’s influence on the designs are anything like his music, I’m sure many more than just the House of Gucci will be pleased! Get ready to see some pretty fun and innovative looks for these kicks, with designs including leather, gray herringbone and even polka dots!
Just when I thought my Creative Recreation’s were the real deal, now I have to re-assess this whole high-top situation!

where’sALDO?
just saw this baby on tv…pretty sure it’s one of the first ALDO shoe television commercials. interesting, interesting.
Jessica Stam: Canadian, we like it cause we’re all patriotic right now and whatnot.
and hey, we like their shoes too!

uggly showdown…
so apparently Uggs have been out for quite some time now, although that won’t stop the tweens from wearing them around the Eaton Center… i must admit that i am an Ugg supporter, and although yes they maybe be ugly and boys hate them, they are practical. points for their soft, warm, sheep-skin interior. now on the complete other side of the spectrum are Hunters. certified by the Queen herself, these wellies are guaranteed to keep your feet high and dry. points for their array of colours and their ability to hold up against Toronto slush.
now let’s get down to it. will these boots be considered one-hit wonders or will they triumph to the top because of their practicality? i’m not usually one to choose warmth and endurance over looks, but in this case i think i’ll hold on to these babies forever….and hey, if the Queen says it’s ok, it must be right?!
